Jane Doe had a great run but we had the biopsy return and the tumor turned out to be malignant and she fought as long as hard as she could until it took her over. We thank you for ALL the love and support through all of this and I know if she could have spoken she would have said the same thing. She was laid to rest on April 6th 2017 at 12:30pm CST. She was surrounded by all who loved her and peacefully passed away. She will be cremated We are still accepting donations towards her last medical expenses and her cremation services. Any left over money will be used for all of the much needed supplies to take on and care for all of the stray and lost animals through "Coffee Saves Lives."
"Jane Doe" was found on the streets in really terrible condition with a dirty brown collar on her. She could barely walk, was dehydrated, flea infested, worm infested, had a huge bump above her eye, starving and very thin. We took her in bathed her, she immediately drank a whole bowl of water and ate like she was never going to eat again. We were able to treat her for worms successfully and get rid of all her fleas. When we put her in the bath she just laid there like a lump letting us bath her as I am sure she was grateful and without the energy to resist. Upon starting to rinse her off we realized just how flea infested and dirty she was. When the water hit her fur there was a huge cloud of brown that filled the bath tub and fleas came crawling out of her fur in every direction. It took us an hour and a half to flea comb her. She slept so peaceful that night it made me cry. She may have a long road to recovery but she is a fighter and we believe in her! We found her on January 15th and she has been getting stronger and has the will to live.
